INK - Alice ref sheet

Why do I always post things when I sohould be sleeping.


Anyway,copy-pasting what I wrote a few days ago.


Alice is a 14-year old human girl who once woke up in a sewer with no memories to recollect. She was then found by a misfit agency of detectives of horror and magic.They took her under their wing,because frankly,what else was there to do.No memory, remember?She tends to have a lot of memory problems because of this, not to mention a lot of anxiety over not knowing who she is.

They gave her the name Alice,because they thought it was cute and kinda funny how she resembled a certain book-character by falling down holes a lot.It was not funny for her,because she would much rather have had a real name of her own.Or so she thought.

Alice is kind of a scaredy-cat throughout her excapades with the detective agency. She frets and worries and doesn’t want to tag along,but ends up going anyway.She's not a push-over though, and can say no,when she really ddoesn't like an idea.

The Stone Gloves are heavy-hittin’ magical stone gloves,probably meant for melee-based attacks.Some believe them to be golem gloves, but pfeh, it’s just theory. When in contact with mud,dirt,rocks,or any sort of appliable mineral,the gloves adapt to the material and, using the gloves like this,the user can shapeshift them into any form they see fit.But the thing is,they don’t work for just anyone.They’re too heavy for regular lifting.
They only work for her, so now she sorta owns them. and she and her friends\colleagues went through a lot of trouble to get them.But anyway.

The gloves are:Magic crystal>magic disks>magical glove-shaped rock>user

For some reason, they only work for her.Maybe it’s because she woke with an amnesia. Or maybe there’s another reason?Really, who knows. The agencie’s head honchos seemed to care little about this and simply brushed it off as another Weird Anomaly, letting Alice’s boss take care of it, but letting Alice stay with them.


Without them she is kind of a regular soft human meatbag,and could be easily killed off by pretty much anything.The gloves won’t let that happen to however. They retroactively defend the user against any weaker attacks.You could almost say they’re sentient….. except they don’t talk and in a more severe situation,they won’t intervene at all.The gloves need a user to survive.

If the user is weak in will or physically hurt or a little bit mentally unstable,and until the user finds some more rocks or mud,the gloves will slowly start crumbling, until there is nothing left but the disks with magic round crystals in them.
No one really knows what the disks are for either, but
Some believe the disks act like a control console of sort.But that’s just a wild theory.

She’s not much at battle combat so she only uses the gloves to fight and defend herself.
She’s pretty good at running too, so she puts her legs to good use, and runs away from anything bad,nasty or scary on a regular basis.
There is a lot of underlying fear in her every movement and action.Why, nobody is sure.


In the INK asylum however,she experiences a second memoryloss. How will she act now?Will she still be a gutless coward?Confused as ever?Not?


She's not sure what's she's there for but she might just find out.

The disks on the gloves will become infected by the ink in INK asylum,or at least, that's the general idea.

Anyway, when I read the premise for Ink a week ago(hahaha),I though Alice would fit the bill quite nicely, since she's so eager to regain her lost memory.But,ha,what memory? 8 D

Besides giving me practice with making these comics,I think it’s actually giving me more an incentive to write Alice a little better too.Besides,I’ve always wanted to enter her in a tourney = T

What I didn't consider at that moment was that this was kind of a crazy idea in such a timedrame.I'm shipping myself off to sweden with 13blackdragons and Josie-weirdo ,so I should try to get some sleep by now.
